Affiliate tracking captures clicks and conversions from your Highcovery deeplinks in your online store – whether Shopify or WooCommerce.How it works
- A customer clicks a deeplink in the Highcovery app
- The tracking script in your store captures the click ID (
hc_cid) - When an order is placed, the click ID is sent to Highcovery
- The conversion is recorded and the commission is calculated
Requirements
For affiliate tracking to work, the following must be set up:- Store connected – via the Highcovery app for Shopify or the Highcovery plugin for WooCommerce.
- Tracking scripts active – for Shopify via the Theme Extension; for WooCommerce automatically through the plugin, see Set up WooCommerce.
- Active affiliate contract – you need an active affiliate contract in your Highcovery dashboard.
Troubleshooting
If your tracking status shows as inactive, check the following:1
Check the connection
Go to Connections in your dashboard and check whether your store is connected and verified.

Check the Theme Extension (Shopify only)
Make sure the Highcovery Affiliate block is enabled in your Shopify theme under App Embeds. This step does not apply to WooCommerce.

Verify the connection
Click Check again on the Connections page to run a manual check.
The connection is checked automatically every hour. If the check fails, your tracking is paused until the connection is verified again.
