# Legal acceptance

> Accept new versions of the terms of use and privacy policy

## Pending acceptances

When Highcovery updates the dashboard's terms of use or privacy policy, you must accept the new version. The dashboard then shows a banner **Updated documents** at the top with the button **Review now**.

### Accepting

As long as further documents are pending, you stay on this page. Afterwards you return to the dashboard.

### What is blocked without acceptance

Some areas of the dashboard only become available once you have accepted the current legal texts. If an acceptance is missing, the menu item is hidden or redirects you to the pending acceptances.

### Acceptances for contracts

If a contract is bound to legal texts, for example the affiliate contract to the affiliate terms, an **acceptance deadline** applies. If it passes without your acceptance, the contract is suspended. You see the open deadlines under **Affiliate** and accept the documents there or under [Contracts](/en/dashboard/contracts).

### History

Under **Accepted documents** you see all versions you have ever accepted, with date, method and status.
