# Set up WooCommerce

> Enable affiliate tracking in your WooCommerce store

## Tracking with WooCommerce

With WooCommerce, the Highcovery plugin handles all affiliate tracking automatically – **no theme changes** are required. As soon as your store is connected, the tracking scripts are embedded on your website and orders are captured for attribution.

### Setup

<Steps>
  <Step title="Connect your store">
    Connect your WooCommerce store via the Highcovery plugin. See the step-by-step guide at [Connect WooCommerce](/connections/woocommerce).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Activate your affiliate contract">
    Make sure you have an active affiliate contract in your Highcovery dashboard.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Done">
    Once connected, the tracking scripts are active automatically. Clicks from the Highcovery app are captured and orders are attributed.
  </Step>
</Steps>

### How attribution works

* When a user clicks your product in the Highcovery app, they land in your store with a click ID; the plugin stores it as a cookie.
* The attribution window is **30 days** – if the customer orders within this period, the order is attributed to your promotion.
* The plugin reports order events (created, paid, cancelled, refunded) to Highcovery, so commissions are calculated correctly and adjusted for cancellations.

### Verification

You can see the status on your **Connections** page in the dashboard. If it is red, click **Check again**.
