# Deep Links

> Target URLs for your product promotions in the app

## Deep Links

A deep link is the target URL a product promotion in the Highcovery app links to — usually the product page in your online store. When a user taps your promoted product in the app, they are redirected to this URL and the click is recorded for your affiliate tracking.

### URLs per language

You set the target URL per language. The app automatically picks the URL that matches the user's language:

* A user browsing the app in French opens the French URL.
* If no URL is set for the user's language, the URL of your original language is used as a fallback.

<Note>Always link directly to the product page (including `https://`), not to your home page — customers land on the product without detours.</Note>

### Setting up a deep link

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open products">
    Go to **Affiliate → Products** in your dashboard.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Start or edit a promotion">
    Click **Start promotion** or **Edit deep link** on a product.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add the URLs">
    Enter the full target URL of the product page for each language and save.
  </Step>
</Steps>

### Click tracking

Every click on a deep link is recorded and shows up under **Recent activity** on your affiliate page. The click ID (`hc_cid`) is appended on redirect — if the visit leads to an order, it becomes a conversion with commission. See [Affiliate Tracking](/affiliate/tracking) for the details.

<Note>Tracking requires an active affiliate contract and active tracking in your store.</Note>
